My Friend Paul's Birthday Card

My dear friend Paul had a birthday in March.  I finally finished his card late April and manged to give it to him the first part of May.  We're busy people and it seems like the first part of this year is no different.  I tried out a few new ideas and used a LOT of ideas from classes I've taken with Teri at  Scrapbook Unique and Tanya at Stamper's Ink.  (see sidebar for links)
The image above shows the box for the card at the top. Below that is the card. To the left is a money holder with a pocket watch fob.  This was also included in the box with the card.
This is the front view of the card.
And, this is the side view of the card.
Here is a close up of the embellishment I made using a Tim Holtz tattered banner and glossy accents. The winged stamp is from Inkadinkado. I cut out the image, distressed it and replaced the clock face with Tim Holtz hardware.
This shows the top part of the inside of the card. I made the clock so it could be seen from both sides. I used the Tim Holtz Weathered Clock BigZ Die.
This shows the bottom part of the inside of the card.  The saying is a Quietfire Designs stamp. I made the card so the image of clock on the inside could be seen from the outside through the clock window.  I was drawn to the Graphic45 "A Proper Gentleman" collection because of this paper. It was perfect!
I didn't want to spoil the design of the card, so I added a pocket on the back to include an insert card on which I could write my birthday wishes.
Here is the money holder with the pocket watch fob.
