Tim Holtz for March, 2011

As usual, it is the last day of the month and I'm scrambling to get the Tim Holtz tag finished and posted to his website. Where did March GO?!!!  Probably the same place January and February did.  Oh well...
I veered slightly from Tim's original concept; I do not have the craft tags yet and I guess I was just in a different mood.
I  started blending from the bottom up using distress inks: Tumbled Glass, Broken China and a touch of Stormy Sky.  The middle is Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade.  Top is Stormy Sky and Dusty Concord.  I edged with Stormy Sky.  Then, I flicked water and dried.  The trees are stamped with Ranger Archival ink and the stamp is Impression-Obsession Cover-A-Card, Tree Line (CC099).

Tres Loonies Enter Challenge at Scrapbook Unique

Two of my friends, Terri and Joanne, and I started getting together to share some crafting ideas.  In the spirit of  our zany antics, we started calling ourselves "Tres Loonies."  The name says it all; our ideas and crafting explorations get out of control occasionally.  We do have quite a bit of fun while learning what NOT to do with our supplies!

Our latest project was to participate in a challenge and I'm posting pictures of our efforts.  The challenge is being sponsored by Scrapbook Unique and if you'd like to vote, please visit the store.  Info about the store is at this link: Scrapbook Unique

My entry is a pop-up card.  I tailored it after a video I watched of Karen Burniston's.  She did a Tim Holtz Pop-Up Bird Cage Card.  If you'd like to see the set of videos click on the link HERE

Here is close up details from the front cover.

 Next up, is Joanne's entry.

And here is Joanne holding her entry:

Last, but certainly NOT least is Terri's submission.
